الاعراف — Al-A'raf Ayat 168
وَقَطَّعْنٰهُمْ فِى الْاَرْضِ اُمَمًاۚ مِنْهُمُ الصّٰلِحُوْنَ وَمِنْهُمْ دُوْنَ ذٰلِكَ ۖوَبَلَوْنٰهُمْ بِالْحَسَنٰتِ وَالسَّيِّاٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُوْنَ
Wa qaṭṭa‘nāhum fil-arḍi umamā(n), minhumuṣ-ṣāliḥūna wa minhum dūna żālik(a), wa balaunāhum bil-ḥasanāti was-sayyi'āti la‘allahum yarji‘ūn(a).
"And We divided them throughout the earth into nations. Of them some were righteous, and of them some were otherwise. And We tested them with good [times] and bad that perhaps they would return [to obedience]."
